In less than one week, my husband and I will once again board a plane that we will trust to carry us across the big pond. Before landing in Portugal, we look forward to spending time in France to spend time and visit friends that have come to be so dear to us. S & J have invited us to join them during their holiday time away from their home in Paris. We will travel by train to southern France, to a place we have never seen before. From there we will once again travel by train to visit S, P, E and D in the Normandy area for several days.
Time spent in France is very anticipated and looked forward to with much excitement.
From France we will then proceed to Portugal to live for 6+ weeks.
As we think and plan ahead, there are always ideas of what we may do and probably even get around to doing. I simply look forward to spending days with friends, hearing their hearts and working along side with them in the daily tasks that occupy their lives.
God has provided the means and our hearts to go, to see and to love. I look forward to the adventures ahead...
In the meantime, the week ahead will be full of family here as our children will come "home" for a time and we will all celebrate with the extended family a nephew's wedding. Yes, I want to stress about the details of leaving our home for 6+ weeks. I want to stress about packing only ONE suitcase that I will be able to manage on planes, trains and automobiles. I want to stress about leaving our silly kitty BT.
But I know Who holds my days in His hands and want to rest in the fact that there will be good times spent here at home this week getting ready, AND as we travel in the weeks to come.
I invite you to come with me on this journey once again. I will take pictures (how can I not???) and try to share with you the beauty and blessings that are to be experienced in the coming weeks... I can't wait to see where He leads and takes us!
"This is what the Lord says -- your Redeemer, the Holy One of Isreal:
I am the Lord your God, who teaches you what is best for you,
Who directs you in the way you should go."
Isaiah 48. 17
Let me hear from you!

Good time with family in SD before leaving! (We definitely have missed D this week!!!)
